Who’s Who In American Jewry?
I tried to get an interlibrary loan for the book Who’s Who In American Jewry. Below is the response from Pima County Library. Is there anyone who can do a lookup for me?
Your interlibrary loan request has been cancelled because there are no libraries willing to loan/copy the material. If you have any questions you may email us at ILL@Pima.gov. Author: Title: Whos who in American Jewry Publication info: Standard Whos Who 1980

ASU has a non-circulating copy in one of their libraries. Rachel Leket-Mor is an ASU Librarian specializing in Jewish Studies and might be able to help:

I used to run ILL for the Austin Public Library. This is probably a reference book. You need to call the library back and ask to speak to the person in charge of ILL. Right now you are talking to a machine. . It is not unusual for a library to borrow a book and require that you use it only in the library. In addition, they can tell you very quickly what nearby libraries own it if you want to travel to look at the book. It may very well be at UA. Finally, if you are only interested in certain individuals, simply request photocopies of the pertinent entries. The ILL department can do this for you. You may ave to pay for the photocopies. Hope this helps, Carolyn PS: This is the kind of a book that may be available in local synagogue libries. Their holdings may not be available to ILL so you’ll have to make some phone calls.
